Ya, that's right I updated my blog!

The end of 2008 flew by! November was busy, we spent our Thanksgiving in St. George with Daren's family, we had a great time, and I even hit some black Friday sales (i will never do that again!) Then we headed to Kanab to see the Wade, Janette, and the kids. We went on a dam tour! Toured a million dollar house, and went touring through Zion's National Park, and the kids tore up the neighbors land by digging a giant hole.(heehee) We had so much fun! Wade has Daren talked into buying a vacation home in Kanab! December was even more crazy, the kids performed in their TaVaci Christmas Concert, it was awesome! The Peatross Christmas Party was a blast! The kids gave an amazing program, with a skit, singing, piano solo's, poem's and ect... The kid's had a great experience that day, shopping for Primary Childrens Hospital. They picked out all kinds of Toys, and clothes that are badly needed by the kids in the Hospital. Our kids were glowing with excitement, and they said they want to do that every year! Christmas Day was great! Santa left a Diner for Nate, Baby Alive for Kortlyn, and Mountain Bikes for Mitch and Ashley. That weekend was Wade's Surprise 40th Birthday Party! He didn't have a clue, all of us were waiting with our Pictures of Wade's head in front of our faces! And now January is flying by. Today is Ashley's Birthday, And yes my little girl is 12!!! I can't believe it. I feel so old.

Ashley had a SPA Birthday Party! Her and her friends made facials, gave each other pedicures, and enjoyed lemon water, finger sandwiches, cream puffs, and grapes. They had so much fun!

Ashley Turned 12 Today. I am amazed at what a wonderful Young Women she has become. I am so proud of her. She is so grown up and mature, she is an amazing sister, and is as good as Mom when I am not there! (And the most sought after Babysitter in the neighborhood!) I appreciate all she does. She is my best help, and I enjoy being around her, she loves to play card games, board games, Wii games, anything that she can kick your butt at! Ashley loves to travel, and is up to going anywhere. She is a great student, her biggest goal and greatest desire is to get straight A's so she can get the promised CELL PHONE! Ash is so excited about going to Young Women's. I can't believe she is old enough. It was just yesterday that I brought my first baby home from the hospital, and dressed her up everyday. That little white haired chubby baby has grown into a beautiful young lady. Happy Birthday Ash! We love you so much!!

Ahhhh.... Sleeping children! It only took about 5 min. for all the kids to be out when we came back to the hotel after a day in Disneyland!

Mitch was in a Football league this fall, he loved it! The teams were from Duchesne, Altamont, Roosevelt and Vernal. He says this is his Fav sport! He played free saftey, and reciever. He is pretty proud about the quarterback fumble he had in the winning game! His team was undefeated most of the season, except for 1 game. Then they won the Superbowl!!!

Birthday Boy!

Ok I can be called the Blogger Slacker! I haven't blogged for a while. October is here and almost gone again! Well my big boy turned 9! I feel so old. He is such a good-looking Dude. What a guy, he is the oldest 9 year old I know. He is such a huge help to me and his Dad. He is such a hard worker, and he loves to be working. Just ask Grandpa P., Mitch is one of the first guys Grandpa wants on the job. If he has to choose between playing with friends, or working in the yard or on a project, he chooses work!(he must take after me, hee hee)He loves to be organized, from his tools to his bedroom closet (again takes after me, maybe he will rub off on his Dad) Mitch is so sweet to his sisters and little brother. He says if we move to a bigger house he still wants to share a room with his little bro. He is a lady killer, the ladies at school think he is something else. His class wrote little notes to him for his birthday, I had to choke back tears because the things they wrote about him were so sweet. He got a Honda Dirt Bike for his Birthday! I am not happy about this, Daren talked me into it promising Mitch will always wear all of his protective gear, and believe me he is fully protected, he can hardly hold his bike up to start it with all his gear on. He had been working mowing lawns, and picking up trash to save enough $ to buy this bike, he earned $400 from all his jobs, so he gave his stash to Daren, and got his bike and all right before his Birthday! I am so proud of him, he is my little man.

August 2008

August flew by us. We have been busy and trying to enjoy the last few weeks until school started! Kortlyn's 6th Birthday was on the 5th. She invited her friends to the splash park. and they had tons of fun, water fighting, and spraying each other.
The party theme was Hannah Montanna of course! She had a great day!
On the 15th Daren and I had a wild hair and went out to the Parade of Homes! We saw some beautiful homes, and I would have been fine to stop after about the 4th house,
but surprisingly Daren wanted to keep going. He enjoyed it more than he thought he would.
besides who doesn't love looking in people's closets?
I also enter Nate in the Uintah County Fair Baby Show. Just because he's so darn cute. The theme was down on the farm, and they had to dress in swimsuits. He was so shy, and wouldn't sing old McDonald had a farm with all his cute animal sounds. He only muttered uhuh...uhuh to everything the judges asked him, so I was really surprised when he won 2nd Place!! He thought he was pretty hot stuff, he got to go on stage, and get his trophy, cowboy hat, and box of toys! I couldn't pry those things out of his hands for the rest of the day!

On the 21st we loaded up all the kids for a weekend trip to Park City! We stayed at a town home, with our friends Garrett and Zinna Eaton. We did the Alpine coaster, and went on the ski Gondola, and ate lunch at the top in the lodge. We did ton's of School Shopping, and ate awesome food all weekend. but the real reason we went was for another Tri-Athelon. The Jordanelle Tri was Sat. Garrett and Daren were pumped up and ready. They both did great. To see them come across the Finish Line, Zinna and I had to hike about 10 miles, it was about 97 degrees, and we had 3 kids with us (we left the older one's at the house) Zinna is 7 months preg. I had to carry her on my shoulders and push the stroller with all 3 kids in it, uphill both ways we had quite a workout, I think Zinna and I were more wore out than the guys! (I'd like to see them hike in there with 3 kids in 1 stroller) It was worth it to cheer them on!
This isn't the right time to ask me how many more Tri's Daren is planning this year.
Speaking of totally ripped Daren, in the best shape of his life, his 38th Birthday is on the 29th.
So Happy Birthday Daren!!!!We all love you so much and are so proud of you!


I forgot to mention school started on the 25. Ugh. It has been crazy, Ashley is loving middle school. She has 6 different teachers, and classes, the school isn't completely finished from a remodel that started about 2 years ago, but she is hoping to have a locker by Christmas! Mitch is loving 3rd grade is has a young new teacher and he even told me "mom, she is pretty" so that helps to get him up in the morning! Kortlyn Starts Kindergarten next week I wish someone would explain to me why they make the Kindergartners wait 10 days after the other kids start. It's sheer torture for her and ME! She can't wait to go to school because she gets to ride the bus, and put her backpack in a cubby. She just did her testing and when her teacher asked her to name the days of the week she said "Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday........ churchday! and when she asked her if she had 3 pink balloons and 2 green balloons how many balloons would you have? She said "you would have 3 pink balloons and 2 green balloons" duh!
